Beautiful restaurant close to the waterway. It didn't seem too busy for a Saturday night. We dined at the bar and loved all the staff there. Great wine selection and mocktail was tasty. We tried the pork belly, Sichuan eggplant, dill raita and whisky naan. Everything was very good. It's a tad overpriced but because of the area, understandable. Along the waterway there aren't many restaurants we'd be willing to dine at so it's nice to finally add another to the very, very small list.

Just noticed that my review of Amrina from 2022 is a little stale. We've been 18 times between that first visit and our recent visit on Christmas Eve 2024. The quality of their food and service has been consistent since they opened. Really good super flavorful Indian influenced cuisine. Our reservation was for 5:45 on Christmas Eve (our kids are grown and out of the house so Santa gives us a pass on Christmas eve) and the place was already bustling. We had a nice two top in the back of the restaurant near the private dining area. Our regular server Raj and his team provided top notch attentive service throughout the night and Raj gave us a Christmas Card that was so thoughtful. On to the food for the evening - After a couple of tasty Holiday inspired cocktails, we ordered the Chicken Tikka Kulcha, the Ostrich Kebabs and an interesting dish called Truffle Raj Kachori. The Chicken Tikka Kulcha is our go to bread at Amrina with the flavorful chicken tikka stuffed into some naan like bread. Just awesome. We hadn't had the Ostrich since our first visit, and it was excellent. Really flavorful with a spicy green condiment. The fennel salad that came with it was very complimentary to the dish. This was our second time to get the Truffle Raj Kachori. Its some Lentil Fritters with some sort of tuile that you break up into a very flavorful yogurt sauce. Very hard to describe other than its great and you should order it. For the main dishes we opted for the Holiday specials. I ordered prime rib and my wife chose the Roast Turkey with Mahkani sauce (butter chicken sauce). The prime rib was a very good cut of meat, with just the right marbling and came with its own curry dipping sauce. Excellent dish. The star of the night was the turkey. I would not have ordered this myself as most turkey is not my favorite, but I did get to finish my wife's portion as she gets full much easier than I do and it was one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. Great butter chicken sauce, super flavorful, but they did something to make that turkey so tender and so juicy it was amazing. Flat out one of the best dishes I've ever had. We are already planning our return on Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve 2025 to experience it again. I will attach a couple of pictures of the appetizers, but somehow I forgot to get pictures of the main courses. Thanks again to Raj, Lee and the team for making us feel like family on this holiday evening.

After waiting for years, we finally tried Amrina, and it wad a pleasant surprise! Everything from the ambiance, service, to the food and presentation was 5 stars! Austin was our server and he made the experience memorable! We started with LAMB PEPPER Fry and OSTRICH SEEKH Kebab - both were delicious. I've never had ostrich, so was hesitant to try it. - turns out the ostrich kabobs are the most delicious kabobs I have ever had! For entree, we shared the BEEF SHORTRIB which was infused with nihari curry, and cooked just right. We also had the DAL MAKHANI with the garlic Naan - the DAL was different - I've had this dish my whole life but this tasted different, in a very good way. Much more flavorful! We also tried the CHICKEN TIKKA KULCHA which was tasty, given that we never had a KULCHA (it's a small stuffed Naan). Coming from a Indian / Pakistani background, this place hits the spot for the cuisine - the flavors are exaggerated because the dishes aren't spicy like typical restaurants that serve these cuisines. This makes the food much more delicious! On top of that, every dish has a different and yummy twist. We ended with Panna cotta which was perfect. I don't like this dessert, yet this one won me over. It was "fresh" and not overly sweet. It is a were also provided a free birthday dessert (a chocolate cake of sorts with a espresso cream) and I licked the plate once I gobbled up the cake! This place is expensive yet similarly priced to steakhouses - I would definitely compare this experience to Steak 48, but with better presentation, and more food choices. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes!

Loved coming back to Amrina! I absolutely love this restaurant. It's gorgeous and the food is consistently excellent. It's perfect for a date night or a celebration. We hadn't been back since they first opened and we had a wonderful time. Beautiful interior. Staff were excellent as always. Food was delicious. The bartender even recreated a cocktail for me that they no longer offered on the menu. I had tried it during my first visit to Amrina, which was a few weeks after they first opened a few years ago, and apparently they haven't served this cocktail in years and they didn't even have all the ingredients for it, but the bartender made me one that was very similar and it was delicious. Really appreciated them going above and beyond.

Michelin rated 5 star restaurant Very tasty and tiny expensive gorgeous appetizers and main courses and desserts- beyond comparison!! Tantalizing to taste buds and to eyes A unique dining experience We all loved this restaurant Amazing adventure in taste and smell and feast for eyes as well! Thrilling.

Why 5 stars? Because the food was good, but the service was exceptional. --- --- --- We have had Amrina on our list for a while and finally had the chance to check it out for our anniversary. We were a bit nervous about bringing our 5-year old son because our normal babysitter was unavailable, but our concerns were totally unfounded. Every staff member we encountered here was exceptional, both with us and with our son. We started off with cocktails: I ordered the Clouds of Alya and loved it. I would have happily ordered another one but was trying not to run up the bill, knowing that we were about to order an obscene amount of food. 5-stars for the drink. Naan: we ended up ordering all three - butter, garlic and whiskey. My initial reaction to the whiskey naan is that it was... "interesting", but I wasn't sure that I loved it. But the more I ate, the more I loved it. 5-stars for whiskey and 4-stars for the others. Octopus & Scallops: 5-stars for both. Lumping these together because I have the exact same thoughts for each dish. They were both the closest thing to heaven on a plate you'll ever experience. The only negative here is that the portions are small and the prices are steep, but this is to be expected at a high end restaurant. I wouldn't hesitate to order both of these again. Ribeye: 3-stars. This was the only real miss of the night for me. It was a bad first impression for me, as it just looked about as unappealing as possible when it came out. It might have been because of the rub, but it just kind of looked like a steak that had been sitting out for a while, and it wasn't really cooked consistently. Some of it was medium rare, while other parts were more medium well. For $85, it was a bummer, but again, it was the only bummer. Truffle Mashed Potatoes: 3.5-stars. A bit on the bland side. I'd probably opt for another side next time. Butter Chicken: 4-stars. A very no frills dish, but excellent flavors all around. Panna Cotta: 5-stars. I never wanted this to end. I was borderline depressed when it was over. I legitimately could eat a portion 10x bigger than this one, even if there were physical repercussions from it. #WorthIt Gabrielle: 10-stars. Some of the best service we've ever had. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Gabrielle's boss: please give her a raise, or an employee of the month plaque, or a reserved parking spot in the lot. Or all of those things. She deserves it. Thanks Amrina for a memorable anniversary dinner!

My friends, wife, and I went to Amrina during a recent trip to Houston. Starting with ambiance, Amrina sits at the base of a building and is huge. The restaurant stretches around a quarter of the base of the building. The first half of the restaurant has an open kitchen and the second part an intimate dining area. The walls are adorned in art that creates one of the most upscale feels I have had in an Indian restaurant outside of Europe. Service was okay, and Amrina faltered a but here. Our waiter was nice enough, but the rest of the waitstaff was awkward at best, with one of the men being so awkward when pouring water, it felt like he may just be staring at us. Drinks were innovative and while many of the cocktails were not my preference? They were at least palatable as an alcohol forward. In addition, Amrina had a nice selection of wine and beer. Food was really great all around. The stand outs were the bourbon naan, the butter chicken, and the lamb chops. I felt the entire meal was an elevated version of some of the best Indian food you could have. While nothing was so unique I can say that I have never seen it before, it was all done so well, I didn't care. It was wonderful. Prices were reasonable given the ambiance and that the chef is a Chopped Champion. I would expect $75-100pp with drinks. All in, I highly recommend Amrina for both its food and atmosphere.

There is tremendous VISUAL appeal. The venue is located on a corner lot that is prime real estate along the popular Woodlands Waterway. Walking up to the entrance already feels like you're heading into an exclusive lounge. From the sleek outdoor patio to the chic bar and dining room, the decor is stylish - colorful & vibrant, eccentric but elegant, and femininely bold. We appreciated the attention to presentation, throughout our experience. We were greeted by eager hosts and noticed everyone in uniform was poised, polished, and demure. Plating for each item, from cocktail to each course, was delivered in clean, creative, and artistic fashion. Since it was our first visit, we wanted a little sprinkle of everything... On a busy Saturday evening, we were hoping there might be some kind of live entertainment going on. Unfortunately, there was nothing of that sort going on at the restaurant. We opted to sit at the bar, to partake in both the Houston Restaurants Weeks specials along with the Fantasy Hour offerings. Admittedly, I feel disillusioned that aura of flare & pizazz was also lacking in the food. - Certain plates served to us looked much different than what we saw on social media and Yelp photos; contradictory to what we were expecting. For example, the pork belly did not come in juicy thick morsels of meat. What we got was a flat, thin piece of pork that shredded apart (more like a pork shoulder roast). It seems certain recipes & presentation are different for the HRW menu or perhaps vary depending on the chefs/kitchen crew. - There were some knockouts on the menu. The chaat had lots of dimension; every bite was a journey of textures and each ingredient met with flavor. And, I would absolutely come back for the lamb nachos.... But, most everything else we ate was surprisingly forgettable. The butter chicken and prawn curry tasted generic and lacked spice/seasoning. I was overall underwhelmed by our meal. -Drinks: Some more spectacular than others (both aesthetically and in concentration of alcohol). All come with hefty price tags, so it's a bit of roulette. Circling back to the positive, THE SERVICE IS EXCEPTIONAL. I feel obliged to highlight our server ("Dee") who was well-versed with the menu. She fluently explained ingredients, recommended drinks & pairings, and was superbly attentive. The outstanding service alone makes us want to come back.

Went here for dinner and the ambiance was elegant! I really like the muted lighting and seating very romantic. Service was a bit slow for a half packed house but still good when you get them. I order a series of things based on the yelp pics and reviews and was satisfied with my choices. The lamb chops and sea bass were amazing! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the parking attendant tried to hustle me out of more money after I already took care of it when I paid for my tab. Very unprofessional. He act like he didn't know I paid. I asked him well sir who instructed you to bring my vehicle up lol. Even though I took care of my parking inside I still would've tipped him but since he tried to hustle me I didn't. Would definitely try again though happy yelping

I'm not from Houston but boy, finally an upscale Indian restaurant! I have been to Chef Jassis's restaurant in DC, and I somehow knew Amrina will exceed my expectations - And it did! From the cozy ambiance for a date night to the humble service to amazing food, this place is perfect to celebrate every special occasion with your loved ones. The cocktails here are super fancy so don't forget to try! I tried their Future mission and wow loved the drink and the presentation! Highly recommend. Now for appetizers we had the Crispy Kale chaat and Eggplant sichuan - both went really good together! And for the entree we had the Jackfruit biryani, daal makhani side and compressed mattar paneer. I love creative the dishes were - they weren't your standard recipes! Love the surprise there :) I highly recommend visiting this place! It's indeed a hidden gem for top notch Indian cuisine *__*
